Surgical & Medical Intervention
Women who are found to be at high risk for breast cancer may elect to have a surgical or medical intervention to reduce their risk.
Surgical intervention might include a hysterectomy, and if the women is a candidate, the hysterectomy can be minimally invasive da Vinci surgery.
Some women elect to have a mastectomy.
Medical intervention can be prophylactic chemotherapy at the Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center.
